character arc: +1t (Builds off of the previous prompt, https://www.elysiphim.com/gallery/view/36 where Adelyne decides to not eat the fruit but take it back with her. There's continuity in that it's in her satchel and that she even bites into it later! (spoiler i guess))

Flourish Abstract:
Adelyne is a creature that craves knowledge. She genuinely struggles in making decisions without knowledge, and was hoping for more time. I use irony in the beginning of how Adelyne worries about how bringing this fruit back might get her in trouble, but how she'd never see the Weaver. In fact, she sees the Weaver, and not just that, the tapestry, and something much bigger and dangerous than the fruit alone unfolds in front of her. She watches, half in awe and half in fear, and I try to make her thoughts seem very scrambled. I wanted to emphasize that to her this was a lot going on, and yet there's a rock right next to her--Marley. I write about all of her thought process, all of the questions she asks herself that she cannot answer. To Adelyne, there is no right answer. She is desperate for an answer, and if the Weaver or Marley gave her one, she would've taken it. But none comes, and she is forced to make one herself. When it comes down to it, Adelyne decides to bite the 'bullet' so to speak, and eat the fruit. It gives her the knowledge and the extra push needed to make an answer. She chooses to believe in this so-called freedom, the truth, and to believe in the stars she sees in her mind. Yet, even as she acts on this answer, it's comedic that she prays that she made the right choice--prays to the weaver, after betraying it by not having blind faith in it.
