His mother told him that if he is to beat her in a battle than she will allow him to be taught the ways of his father's trade to make his own weapon. One that is crafted with their own crest as a mark of faith and approval from his parents, but he never got the chance to as his mother turned the whole thing into a lecture.]

He's shown thinking back when he cried by himself over and over again with no one to ever go and comfort him as he wasn't allowed to socialize without anyone his parents agree to.]

NO matter his age, his parents expect him to get everything right on the first try and then be completely flawless on the next. Disappointment after disappointment, his parents try bribing him with other tasks that catch his sorta-but-not-really hatchling brain's attention even after they think that 'beating it out of him' shall be enough to bring him up to speed.]
